Some people are reporting Slingplayer not to work correctly. Fact is, as long as you do not get the "Slingplayer only works on WiFi" error message, 3G Unrestrictor does it job correctly!


If slingplayer cannot connect it is most likely a network or configuration issue. This can be either your slingbox and lan configuration or your mobile internet providers blocking. There is nothing I can do about this and the app does trick slingplayer correctly.


Fortunately for most people it is just a configuration problem, so make sure:

  • Your slingbox is using the default ports
  • Your slingbox is configured for internet viewing under settings
  • Your slingbox software/firmware is up to date
  • Your slingbox's ports are forwarded correctly in your router. Maybe DHCP setup another IP for the slingbox or something like that.
  • Your slingbox's firmware is the most recent version.
